The Two Who Inspired It All...

Meet Koa, our quirky Shiba Inu, and Remy, our sweet Mini Aussie! They’re both lovable, playful, and the absolute center of our world—but there’s one thing that terrifies them both: nail trims. Remy shakes like a leaf, and Koa? Well, he gets wild and reactive. His nails were getting so long that he’d struggle to walk smoothly on our wood floors, sliding around uncomfortably.

I tried everything I could think of—traditional clippers, electric grinders, nail hammocks, groomers, even vet visits with trazodone. Nothing seemed to work! I even gave the scratch boards with treat doors a shot, but Koa quickly grew bored and would walk away barely getting his nails trimmed. 

I knew there had to be a better way, so I set out to create something that would help both Koa and Remy—and, in the process, a solution for all the pet parents who face the same struggle. That’s when I came up with this multifunctional feeder that does double duty: it keeps Koa mentally engaged while gradually trimming his nails without him even realizing it. The magic? A slow puzzle feeder design that encourages continuous scratching for 15–25 minutes, allowing him to work for his food independently!

The results were amazing! Just after a couple uses, I noticed Koa’s nails starting to trim down naturally, and he loved it. In fact, he now prefers eating from it over his regular bowl! It became his favorite mealtime game—fun, stimulating, and effective.
